STUDENT CAMP '08 SUMMER! ZHUI,GAN,PAO!
Alright.. I just came back from student camp for 5d 4n. It was a blast yo! Although me,pok,boh and jing had to skip quite alot of activities due to training, i think we enjoyed ourselves alot still. Hmm.. camp leader for this year was Yunzhen, Cherlyn and Xinyi. They are all very nice and enthu people^^ They really were one of the reasons why I enjoyed student camp alot. I felt that somehow this year's camp wasn't as fun as last year's though. Maybe it's the games and stuffs, or maybe it's just cause I missed some parts of it.
FIRST DAY
We had to go to the stadium first as we had the sports clinic going on for P6s. After awhile, we went to register and after the clinic ended, we went back to camp for lunch and played some games in the hall. It boosted lots of trust among each of us, and most importantly, it was very fun(: after that, we had to leave for our gym session.. aww): Jianan explained more rules to us during gym at the meeting room at the t-t room. After we finally finished, we went back to bathe and soon after, ate our dinner. we then had PAW(praise and worship) followed by BS(bible study) at one of the classrooms located at the upper sec block. after that, we had night games! night games were pretty fun.. but we had to bathe again in the night because we perspired so much ><.. then at night we played poker among ourselves and chit chatted abit before falling into dreamland.
SECOND DAY
woke up at 7.30.. then went for wash up before having breakfast. we then had a talk by Mr Jim Lim again(same as last year) and his talks as usual, were very interesting^^ after that, we had lunch and went on to games! It was like some station to station thing.. and if we failed the station, we had to pick the cards and it determined whether we are supposed to go all the way back to zhentang(church), first station, 2nd.. etc. sadly, we had to leave halfway AGAIN as we had a friendly with NanChiau. At first Boh and I were pretty nervous as some of the players seemed pretty good (mainly just judging my their hair ) hahahaha. But good for us, we managed to thrash them 74-19. Can you believe it, CGirls'08 being able to thrash a school. HAH! I feel so proud for the team ^^ Good work guys! Boh and I didn't play 2nd and 4th quarter as the 2nd quarter, coach placed all the juniors and in the 4th quarter, sean and chewshian had to go and couldn't do table officials anymore. So since the score was obvious we would win, jianan ordered my and boh to be table officials): After the game, we bathed at the stadium's toilet then went back to bunk and nua-ed for awhile. Then after dinner, we had PAW followed by BS again. I still love all the songs by the church's MM(music ministry) ^^ then after that I forgot what we did.. haha. Then we went back to our bunks for some chitchatting again before going to sleep.
THIRD DAY
It was finally a day whereby we didn't need to leave camp anymore ^^ we had many many games once again.. but i sort of forgot alr. haha. hmm.. had lunch and bs again, followed by saturday service and stuff (: I still love PAW alot alot ^^ oh yeah, and we had "tian cai zhi ye" on this day. It's like you'll get this photo of people doing some action the day before, and the next night(tonight) you'll have to act out the skit containing tt part in the picture. It's super fun, really! Although since sec1 till now I haven't won anything. hahahha. Well, groups will do the acting in different places and luckily for my group, we've always been acting in zhentang, which is obviously one of the best places. HAH! thus, all the sub groups will act in that place. And judges will decide which 2 teams to get into the next round, which is then merged altogether and from there, choose the 3 teams who will win 3rd 2nd and 1st respectively. Jasper and the guys won "tiancaizhiye" this year! woosh! :D after that, i forgot what we did. =X
FOURTH DAY
Today was one of the highlights of this camp! We had amazing race and campfire! Hmm... amazing race started at 9am in the morning after our breakfast. Our first stop was Tampines.. and unfortunately they stressed that we could not use private cars nor cabs.. so it was busing and training all around singapore. XD. Trained to tamp and bused to our first station! We had to do 2 quizzes and do some games. We had to carry a few items one by one to the 5th floor where the game master was. Then, we'll pick a straw from the envelope and if we get the shorter one compared to the game master, we'll have to go down and pass the baton. If we win, we'll go all the way to the 10th floor to put our stuff before coming down again. Then we trained and bused to our second station which was Kallang stadium. We had to roll oranges down a flight of stairs and hit down any bottle of water. We took like 2 times of the 3 tries to get it. After tt, we were given a 40min break to eat at any nearby place. Went to eat at some food court with BASEBALL!(group) :D after we finished, we went back to the station and had to find our mascot(sylvester) before we moved on. Sin Yee took a short time to find it so we could quickly go on to our next destination, which was at Orchard. We took a bus 14 there and did all the few stations there. First we had to take 2 kiss marks from people and have them kiss it on the piece of paper, then the next station was to do those act and guess sort of stuff. Then we had to drink a can of 100+ and attempt to throw it into the bin(reminds me of kungfu dunk) XD. Boh got it and we proceeded on. Then we had to cross this junction and return back within the same green light. It was sort of tough but we made it within 2 tries (: (although pok cheated a little =X) Then we hurriedly went to our next station which was at Tamp(again) and trained there. And a while on the train ride we were talking about "albino's " healthy lifestyle. hah, i kept commenting that she had no life =X anyway, went to our station at tampines and we had to send two representatives to go upstairs to some unit before coming back down to spot the difference between the actual place and the one in the picture. It took us quite some tries though :/ When we were finally done, we chionged to the 69 bus stop but we missed a bus. The next bus soon came and we sighed in relieve as we boarded the bus and saw a few groups still running behind trying to chase the bus. Luckily, the bus didn't stop for them! :) then we alighted at red swas, then lucky us spotted a 14 and boarded it. If the 14 didn't come, we would have to run all the way to 85 and then up changcheng to school! Thank God :D and the amazing thing was, the 14 bus driver was the same as the one which brought us from Kallang to Orchard! Thank you! :D Then we hurriedly chionged up to school and managed to get 3rd for the amazing race. YAY! And nobody fainted this year(ahem cass... XD) aft we finished, we went downstairs to play abit of basketball before returning back to bunk for a shower. After tt was PAW and mass dance begun! my whole group was practically pushing me to him. I'm like HELLO!? what's with that! LOL. And since cass came, I teased her a little about this and that. And she said "wah shit, how come your memory's so good!?" LOL. but sadly she had to leave shortly after as she had to chiong her homework or something. After mass dance, BBQ started! We played a bit of ball and NIUNAI+superman. HAHAHAHA, it's super fun but super diulian. But who cares, we shan't care about our mianzi on the last night of camp man! WOOSH. lol. so for almost the whole camp i was being teased quite badly. gahh. and hmm.. we finally had no 11pm lightsout! Instead, the "unofficial lightsout" was at 2am, which meant we had to clear all our pits and stuff by 2am. After 2, we played captain ball together. It was damn fun, but also meant that I had to bathe a second time ): Oh well. i had lots of fun! after quite some time at around 3+, we went to bathe after planned to nua at the canteen till morning but unfortunately many people went out of bounds so they had to force us to go back to our bunks although there were still no lightsout. Man, how disappointed we were. Going back to the bunk at arnd 4,I slept soon afterwards. Shagged yo.
FIFTH DAY.
Aww.. it was packup and time to zao. Had a last singing session and had to bid goodbye alr): We played the last few rounds of niunai and superman.. (awww...) and we missed it so much. hah. ballers rushed back home with loads of camp stuff and went to training, sadly I didnt go. And I felt so bad. Had this splitting headache and decided to pop some panadol extras.. told boh to wake me up and slept all the way till 9pm from 1pm instead. Damn. Then at 10.30 i decided to go back to sleep. I felt so so tired as we didnt sleep very early during camp days.
I still miss camp alot. And thanks to student camp, I accepted Christ when I was sec1, and I rededicated my life once again to God this year. I felt the distance among us growing wider and wider, and I felt so so guilty. I cried during tt talk. I decided to go back into his arms and prayed tt he would embrace me once again, holding my hand and walking me through every path he chose for me. And he did. Thank you Lord, thank you Daddy.
